Biography

Georg Orssich began his career in the capital markets in Spain in 1988 and then joined the Santander Group in 1990 in the capital markets division. He moved to Santander Investment Securities in New York in 1995, initially working in equities, but later as Head of Corporate Finance (ECM and M&A) for Latin America in 1998. In 2001, he returned to Spain as Head of Corporate Finance for Europe and in 2009 he became Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Europe. In 2010, he was appointed to lead the entire business line as Global Head of Banking & Corporate Finance until 2021, when he became a Senior Advisor for the Santander group.

Georg Orssich is an undergraduate at Vienna University in Business Administration and holds an executive programme from Stanford University.
