Presentation of the French edition of the book “Maria Skłodowska-Curie · Albert Einstein – Correspondance (1911-1932)
As part of the celebrations of the Franco-Polish Friendship Day on April 20, a book containing the correspondence between Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Albert Einstein, funded by CABP, was presented on April 24 at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Paris.
This publication presents the complete edition of the correspondence between Maria Skłodowska-Curie and Albert Einstein for the years 1911-1932. Written in French and German, this correspondence addresses a wide range of scientific and extra-scientific issues, and testifies to an exceptional friendship between these two eminent scholars, which lasted two decades.
The book includes facsimiles of the manuscripts, their translations, archival photographs, as well as a scientific commentary developed in collaboration with the Einstein Archives of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
