A Strong Message from Olivier Gavalda to Open the Discussions
The meeting began with a video message from the CEO of Crédit Agricole S.A., Olivier Gavalda, who expressed his support for the employees and reminded them of Ukraine's strategic importance for the Group:
"More than ever, we want to look to the future. ACT 2028 aims to position Crédit Agricole as a pan-European leader, and the development of Crédit Agricole Ukraine is one of the essential elements to achieve this."
Discussions Focused on ACT 2028 and the Rise of the Mid Caps Vertical
Michel Le Masson recalled the priorities of ACT 2028, confirming the Group's willingness to invest sustainably in the country and to support growth prospects, particularly those related to the future reconstruction market.
He also detailed the implementation of a European vertical dedicated to the Mid Caps market, which is expected to become an important growth lever for the Group. This ambition is based on two strategic areas, including the Germany-Poland-Ukraine axis, identified as a high-potential space, reinforced by the upcoming reconstruction needs.
Carlos de Cordoue, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Ukraine recalled the ACT 2028 ambitions for CA Ukraine:
"We want to accelerate the customer base in Ukraine. Our goal is to improve our market share in agriculture, in the auto loan market and to develop the IT segment. And, of course, we want to fully play our role in the reconstruction process in Ukraine."
Philippe Brassac highlighted the momentum generated by the Ukrainian teams, recalling that since the beginning of the war, CAU has gone "from a subject of emotional concern for the Group to a real source of ambition" and was pleased to be present "at this crucial moment when a new impetus is given to go further and higher."
A Visit Also Marked by Institutional Meetings
The visit was also an opportunity to meet with the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine and the French Ambassador, Mr. Gaël Veyssière. These exchanges reaffirmed Crédit Agricole's commitment to the country and discussed development and investment prospects, particularly in the context of future reconstruction.
A Solid Foothold in the Heart of Europe
Present in the country for more than three decades, Crédit Agricole relies on a solid franchise, recognized for its resilience and its structuring role in financing the Ukrainian economy. The performance and courage of the teams are remarkable and demonstrate their constant commitment to serving clients in an exceptional context.
This foundation constitutes a major asset as the Group strengthens its ambitions in Europe, and as Ukraine occupies a important place in the development prospects carried by ACT 2028.
