In February 2022, the Internet Bank unit, using the PRO team, undertook an ambitious project: reworking professional websites, to adopt an agile approach going forward.

This choice, centred around the needs of over 400,000 professional clients, over 80% of whom connect using a computer, aims to mark a significant change in the online banking experience.

A rework in response to a competitive, demanding and constantly evolving market… 

Until now, the services offered our LCL Professional clients were made available using different tools. We observed that multiple channels, passwords, different operating modes, all penalise the experience for our users and clients.

So the project was kicked off in February 2022 in agile mode. Key steps have followed-on since the pilot was launched, moving through the beta version, through a progressive changeover of LCL Access users to the new site in November 2023. Other steps will take place during the coming months, again in collaboration with the other SNI tribes.

Just like when we reworked the sites for private clients, the aim of the professional site rework was to meet the expectations of our clients through a SINGLE, SECURE site with a WEALTH of functions, one that meets modern standards of design and ergonomics.

 

Squad PRO at the heart of agile operations 

The PRO rework project team became Squad PRO in June 2023 following on from the transformation of our organisation into Agile By LCL. At the Bank By Internet or BPI Tribe, we are sold on agility, an approach that has proven itself and that is already bearing fruit. Hence we are working in agile, working on the same principle.

Squad PRO comprises a Squad Leader, 8 developers, 2 business analysts, 1 quality analyst, 1 delivery manager, 1 tech lead and 4 business staffers (including 3 product owners and a PRO Market contact). We are also lucky to have our project director in our agile space along with the BPI squads who are our partners (SPA in charge of private client sites, EIM in charge of the NECI real estate space and the secure messaging system).

We are working mainly with new technologies like Java Springboot, Angular, Kubernetes. This is because our approach is highly microservice architecture oriented.

At the end of every sprint, we deliver new functions into production, as soon as we collectively feel that they are ready. This continuous delivery mode operation means that we can deliver more often, that we can be faster reacting when an anomaly is reported: in the end, this contributes to better satisfying our client's expectations!

 

Clients are also project actors!

Our commitment to the "I like my client" charter prompted us to bring in our professional clients and to give them a voice right from the upstream (design) phase to the pilot phases, to ensure us that we would have a product that best meets the demands and the needs of their businesses on an everyday basis. We can therefore safely say that this is a site thought out by professionals for professionals.

The fundamental needs of our clients revolve around three points:

  • Optimising their time usage with simple paths,
  • Providing an intuitive user experience for handling their everyday banking operations,
  • Ensuring more effective support when completing their life projects.

 

A new year full of challenges!

In 2023 we concentrated our efforts on progressively enrolling our professional customers on our new MonEspace (MySpace) site. 2024 will bring us more new challenges! First of all, that of keeping the professional site alive. There will also be the work to enrich it with still more functions to propose an every more ambitious banking experience to our clients!
The Bank By Internet teams remain mobilised to reinforce their agility and their efficiency so as to support and best serve our clients, by proposing the best of digital banking across all of our markets and specialities. All of this of course while taking care to place the user experience at the heart of our priorities, in a framework that meets security, accessibility as well as environmentally responsible standards.
Hence the new professional site brings:

  • more services and functions
  • greater stability and security
  • greater autonomy and accessibility
  • And therefore greater Client Satisfaction!
