| Following the launch of the deplacezvous.fr platform, a mobility system designed to facilitate access to care for seniors through a network of volunteer drivers, Crédit Agricole Nord de France is stepping up its commitment to combating medical desertification by opening its first Omedys teleconsultation clinic in the Lille metropolitan area. A subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Santé & Territoires, Omedys offers a local medical response service in medical deserts. It provides patients with a network of doctors offering teleconsultations, assisted in person by a nurse or pharmacist and supported by connected devices.
This unique concept supported and financed by the regions, which guarantees total respect for the care pathway and offers a long-term and coordinated medical response, has proven its worth and is now being deployed across France. Currently, Crédit Agricole Santé & Territoires has 12 regional telemedicine organisations and 250 teleconsultation sites or health centres in France, which have helped organise over 40,000 consultations. 250 consultation sites are on schedule to be up and running by the end of the year, enabling 95,000 consultations to be carried out.
In the territory covered by the Nord de France Regional Banks, seven health centres are now in operation, and the roll-out is expected to continue with further openings. Crédit Agricole Nord de France’s Santé & Territoires entity is working alongside the Omedys and Crédit Agricole Santé & Territoires teams to facilitate the recruitment of new doctors.
